Eldorin watched the progressing devastation of the realm, himself slowly dying, growing weaker and weaker as Corbin himself drew closer to death. In an effort of initiative beyond Corbin’s willing, Eldorin left Eidolon and came to Corbin, beseeching him to believe in him. Tearfully, Corbin told Eldorin that his powers were gone, that all was lost. Through the combined efforts of Eldorin, Merloch, and Gem Bluestone, Corbin was slowly convinced that his powers had returned - a fact confirmed by Eldorin’s return to health the moment Corbin believed. Eidolon quickly stabilized, though much of the damage remained to be cleaned up. Eldorin returned to Eidolon to tend to its needs while Corbin was returned to Draegon to complete his own recovery. (Note: Interestingly enough, Corbin never actually ceased believing in Eldorin or in Eidolon - rather, he believed that the loss of his magic would slowly destroy them, which is, in fact, what was happening. Corbin's magic was not actually taken from him - Eliza merely threw a harmless powder on him and TOLD him it took away his powers. Corbin believed her, and was therefore completely helpless.)
