Quietly, Eldorin explained to him that the spell was too strong. Corbin agreed, but explained that he couldn’t stop it now because it was a “proper spell” and already cast. Not knowing to refute this, Eldorin nodded sadly. He informed Corbin that it was affecting things in Eidolon, and that he had to return there to deal with it. Corbin sent him on home, saying he would follow when he could.

Corbin did follow Eldorin to Castle Eidolon shortly after, but soon took to tracking the Wild Hate, in order to keep it from killing innocent people. At one point he followed it into the Sythian Forest, where he discussed the problem with Gem Bluestone. Gem suggested that to truly stop the beast, he would have to learn to forgive. Dismayed, Corbin agreed, but pointed out that he was quite simply unable to do so. Gem comforted him, suggesting that perhaps in time it would become easier.

Corbin now lives in Castle Eidolon, and though the upper levels remain closed to the public, the Great Room and the dungeon catacombs below are readily accessible. Eldorin guards the castle with his magical vines, utilizing them to keep peace and to ensure Corbin's privacy by blocking off the upper levels.
