Corbin Ramsay is the son of three individuals - Draegon, Jarred Ramsay, and Isabella, one of Draegon's many, many wives. Corbin is the first male Ramsay to possess magic, and though his psychic powers are noticeably weaker than those of his uncles, his magic takes on a decidedly mental flavor. His is the power of imagination. More intriguing than his magic, perhaps, is who Corbin really is. Though the thought was an early one in Jarred's mind, the fact was overlooked and denied for some time. Harsh events, however, brought the truth home with chilling conviction. Corbin is, in fact, the reincarnation of Cordell Ramsay. Long, long ago, Draegon showed Cordell a vision of himself as a very old man, near to death. When the vision turned around, Cordell saw that he was blind, his eyes sewn shut. Draegon told him that he would be blinded for having witnessed a murder - the murder of his own brother. Cordell died without the vision having been fulfilled.
